EMS & Fire Service
A pursuit built on discipline, service, and a calling I have never walked away from.
A direction I chose and still choose.
The fire service was never a passing interest. It was something I actively pursued, trained for, and built my life around for a real stretch of time. I wanted to serve. I wanted to be in the room when it mattered most. That drive came from the same place everything else in my life comes from: a need to show up fully and do something that counts.
I went through emergency medical training and took it seriously. Not as a stepping stone, but because I believed in the work. The training is demanding in a way that most environments are not. The stakes are immediate, the margin for error is narrow, and the standard you hold yourself to has to be higher than in almost any other field. I welcomed that. It reinforced skills I already had and built new ones I could not have developed anywhere else.
The hard truth is that my body has raised questions about whether the physical demands of the fire service are something I can meet at the level I would require of myself. That is something I am still processing. It is not a door I have closed. It is a reality I am being honest about while I figure out what the path forward looks like. The calling has not gone away. The commitment has not gone away. I am still working through what that means.

Years of working with data taught me to quickly identify what matters. In emergency medicine, that same instinct triage, prioritize, act is essential.

Running a business with partners and working on an EMS or fire crew both require the same thing: clear communication, defined roles, and trust that everyone will do their part.
